My Expert Advisor (EA) is not working

To resolve issues with your Expert Advisor (EA) not executing trades, please follow these troubleshooting steps:

  1. Verify that trading is enabled in your platform by navigating to "Tools", then "Options", proceed to the "Experts" tab, and ensure "Allow Real Trading" is checked.
  2. Ensure the "Expert Advisor" button in the main toolbar is activated – if you see a smiley face at the top-right corner of your chart, it means your EA is properly installed.

If you observe the smiley face but your EA is still not initiating trades, proceed to inspect your "Log Files" with the steps below:

  1. Access your terminal and select the "Experts" tab.
  2. Check for any error messages.
